 VIDIO Passive Voice pada Kalimat Past Tense Dan  Simple present Tense

MATERI:

A).  Passive Voice Dalam Simple PastTense

grammarsimple  Passive voice adalah kalimat yang subjeknya dikenai suatu aktivitas atau perbuatan. Di bahasa Indonesia, kalimat pasif memiliki ciri tertentu yaitu biasanya diawali dengan awalan ‘ter-‘ atau ‘di-‘. Kalimat pasif dibentuk dari kalimat aktif, dengan menjadikan subject (dalam kalimat aktif) sebagai object (dalam kalimat pasif), begitupun sebaliknya.

Berbeda dengan simple present tense yang menggunakan auxiliary verb ‘is’/’are’, kalimat pasif dalam simple past tense dibentuk oleh auxiliary verb ‘was’/’were’. ‘Was’ digunakan untuk subjek tungal (I, She, He dan It), sedangkan ‘were’ untuk subjek jamak (You, We dan They).

Rumus dan Contoh

Untuk mempermudah membuat kalimat pasif dalam bahasa Inggris dengan bentuk simple past tense, perhatikan rumus dan contoh berikut:

1.) CONTOH ATIVE

·   The thief stole his parent’s car last night.

    (Maling itu mencuri mobil orangtuanya semalam)

·   

·   Deby wrote some poems last month.

    (Deby menulis beberapa puisi bulan lalu)

     Rumus : Subjek + was/were + Verb II1

 2.) Contoh Passive

·  His parent’s car was stolen by the thief last night.

   (Mobil orangtuanya dicuri oleh maling semalam)

·    

·  Some poems were written by Deby last month.

    (Beberapa puisi ditulis oleh Deby bulan lalu)

Kalimat Negatif

Apabila anda ingin merubah contoh kalimat pasif diatas menjadi kalimat negatif, maka Anda cukup menambahkan ‘not’ setelah ‘was’/’were’.

Rumus : Subjek + was/were + not + Verb III

 Contoh (Passive) :

·  His parent’s car was not stolen by the thief last night.

·    

· Some poems were not written by Deby last month.

Kalimat Pertanyaan

Jika contoh kalimat pasif ingin dirubah menjadi bentuk pertanyaan, maka Anda cukup memindahkan ‘was’/’were’ di awal kalimat.

Rumus : Was/were + subjek + Verb III + ?

Contoh (Passive):

  B.)passive voice dalam simple present tense 

Berikut rumus passive voice dalam simple present tense 

Active Voice	Passive Voice
S + verb-1 + direct object	S (direct object) + is/am/are + past participle +/- by … (agent)
S + modal + bare infinitive + direct object	S (direct object) + modal + be + past participle +/- by … (agent)

Agent pada passive voice merupakan subject pada active voice. Pada passive voice, subject bertindak sebagai penerima aksi, sedangkan agent sebagai pelaku aksi.

Rumus di atas berlaku untuk transitive verb, dimana memang kata kerja tersebut yang umum dipasifkan. Kalimat dengan intransitive verb mungkin dapat dipasifkan jika memiliki prepositional phrase.
